Just an update!

It's been a while since our last posting. We had an awesome time on the trip! I think that Aliya must have pointed out every single Mickey Mouse silhouette that there was on that ship. My family and Stacey's family all had a great time as well. The last evening was a bit rough on sea due to weather, but we all made it. I'll try to get the blog updated a bit more in the next few weeks. Just too much to do and too little time to do it! Until next time!

We've made the move, now on to the vacation!

Well... we made the move. We're still working on the old house trying to make sure that it's in good condition to sell. Between that and living out of boxes at the new house, it's been pretty stressful (not to mention keeping down full time jobs!). We're getting ready to head out on our much needed cruise. We're Moving!!!

With the addition of another Bowden on the way, we knew that we were going to have to move as we have run out of room at our current house. We found a home just a few miles from here off of the Silver Comet Trail in a brand new subdivision. We're excited about the move and we'll keep everyone posted (especially the guys as I'll be calling you to help us move)!

Aliya's 2nd Birthday Party

Well, Aliya turned 2 years old on June 22. She's officially a "big girl" now! We all had a great time at the park, but the temperature was a horrible 98 degrees out and humid to boot so everyone was wiped out by the end of the party. Aliya received a bunch of great gifts from all of her friends and family and we all enjoyed the cake and munchies.

The birthday girl was really bashful when it came time to sing and blow out the candles!

Big News!

Well... we found out about 2 1/2 weeks ago that we're expecting our 2nd child! We're really excited to say the least! We've got a lot to do between now and then as we're going to have to move as we've run out of space at our current home. Regardless, we know that it's all in God's hands and we're excited about the next few months. We'll keep you posted!

First Haircut

Aliya had her very first haircut on April 2nd. Stacey's friend LeAnne Troyer cut it as she was in town from Idaho visiting her family. Aliya did really well and cooperated with LeAnne while she cut it. Funny thing is that all of the hair that was cut has grown back since.

PawPaw's Birthday at Stone Mountain

We all got together at Stone Mountain for Stacey's father's birthday. Aliya had a blast! She loved the train ride, 4-D movie, tram, and the riverboat. It was a fairly overcast day and we forgot our digital camera, so these pictures are from a very expensive disposable that we bought at the park. It was a lot of fun and really great to see Steve.

Here we were waiting to go in to the 4-D movie. Aliya laughed the entire show.

GOING ON A CRUISE!

Well... we booked ourselves on a cruise with Disney for the family! My mom & dad are going to fly down to Orlando and go with us. Stacey's mom & sister are going as well. I'm trying to twist my brother's arm enough to get him, my sister-in-law, and my niece to go. He's in the process of finishing up his master's degree and has had to use several vacation days towards that already, so I'm not sure if he will have the time to take off. We're praying though! We're all excited and really looking forward to the trip and taking some time off to relax. This will be the first cruise for everyone except me. I went on this same cruise (only 3 days then) back in 2001 to video the school group that went from the church. It was awesome and I expect that it will be even better this time.

So here's the two "buddies" hanging out - just like "peas & carrots" these two! For those of you that don't know Brittan, she is Shea & Holly Weeks daughter. She is 3 months older than Aliya and only 2 days younger than Aliya's cousin, Madison.

First Blog....

Well, I've decided to attempt to begin a blog where we can post info, photos, etc. We'll see how it goes with our busy lives! Hopefully all of you, our family and friends, will find this to be a helpful and useful site to visit to keep up with us and all of the events going on in our lives.
